Maxi bales with straps

Willems installed a custom designed packaging system. It was a combination of Willems known techniques put into one fully automatic baling machine. It concerned the production of maxibales with blowing glass wool, which is an extreme voluminous product. The bales are fully automatically packed in flatfoil, included straps to keep the product from expanding after leaving the baling chute. The compaction ratio is 25 :1 !!

The machine makes bales of 145 kg. This means that approximately 24 m3 of product is compacted into one single bale.

The line is completely automated. It has an automatic foil changing system. Which means that new rolls of foil can be inserted into the line, while the baling process keeps on producing bales. A special designed system transports the bales and turns them in the correct position. A robot stacking system, stacks the bales on top of each other onto a pallet.
